Travel tips for asthma sufferers??

I am not sure whether I am in the right section or not. If not then I am really very sorry. Actually I just wanted to ask what precautions should people suffering from Asthma take when traveling buy plane. My elder brother is going to Brazil for further studies next month and he suffers from Asthma. Mum is very worried for him. She even tried to convince him to continue his studies at a local university but.in vain. Mum told me to look for all the pharmacies and hospitals in brazil so that he can phone to ask for help if ever he falls in some difficulty. I have found a very good site for Brazil pharmacy directory and I need to look for the hospitals now. But I wanted to ask about what precautions he should take before and during his travel?Thanks in advance!!
