Hello everyone, as you can see I am new to the forum. I want to ask know about high cholesterol. I have that high cholesterol is hereditary. My mother did get high cholesterol and she is on colestid. Whenever her cholesterol is too high, she takes colestid to lower it. As for me I don't want to have these problems of high cholesterol. What precautions to take not to have high cholesterol?? If ever I take colestid, will it prevent me from having cholesterol problems?? Please help me...
You can avoid having a high cholestorel level through a few simple things:
1- Daily exercise (e.g. walking, jogging,..) 2- Diet: low fat food, lots of vegetables and fruits
Doing these things is much better than taking preventive drugs. High cholesterol level is a result of a long period of time not doing the above things.
